Liverpool players at Euro 2024: All 9 Reds at this year’s tournament
Here’s every Liverpool player named to a squad for Euro 2024. Nine in total will represent the Reds at Europe's showcase event.
Liverpool will be well-represented at the European Championships this summer. There will be nine players from their current squad, playing for six different nations.
There was an initial 12 included in provisional squads, but Curtis Jones, Jarell Quansah and Ben Doak were all cut. So who's left? Here are the nine you can watch.
Confirmed Liverpool players at Euro 2024
The Netherlands
Virgil van Dijk (c), Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch
Van Dijk and Gakpo were always going - the former is the Dutch captain, after all. Gravenberch, though, is a surprise.
It appeared he'd ruined his chances after falling out of the setup last September. The midfielder rejected an Under 21 call-up, leaving Ronald Koeman thoroughly unimpressed.
But they've ultimately decided to take him to Germany. Gravenberch will be heading to Euro 2024 - and what an opportunity that is.
Portugal
Diogo Jota
No surprise here. Jota's injury problems this season may bring about questions of how much he'll play this summer but there was never any doubt he'd make Portugal's squad.
England
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez
Alexander-Arnold will likely start for England, though in an unusual role. He's expected to line up in midfield alongside Declan Rice - a different job for him, then, but one that could seriously influence his career.
And Gomez will be thrilled that he's back in the mix. The defender fell out of favour with England for quite some time but he's now in the squad and will surely get some minutes at the Euros.
Scotland
Andy Robertson
Robertson, of course, will be going. He's the Scotland captain and will lead his country at the tournament in what will be one of the highlights of his career.
Hungary
Dominik Szoboszlai
Szoboszlai is another captaining his country at Euro 2024. Not only that, but he's the youngest captain in the history of the competition - something that was confirmed as he started Hungary's opening fixture.
He'll also be playing an interesting role for his country and it's one we wonder if Arne Slot will keep an eye on. A massive tournament for Szoboszlai as he and Hungary look to spring some surprises.
France
Ibrahima Konaté
The centre-back fell out of the first-choice XI at Liverpool towards the back end of the season, with Quansah preferred by Jurgen Klopp. He's in the France squad, however - as he has been for a while now.
He's in the squad, though, as expected and can hopefully use Euro 2024 to recapture his best form and take it back to Anfield for next season.
