Darwin Nunez horse drawing mystery addressed in hilarious Liverpool video

Darwin Nunez was the star of the show in the latest Liverpool 'team meeting' advert, with the Uruguayan earning plenty of laughs from his role in the World Earth Month project.

In the promotional video on behalf of The Red Way and SC Johnson, Reds stars Andy Robertson, Caoimhin Kelleher, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah all joined Nunez in the mock team meeting skit, in which they brainstorm campaign ideas for World Earth Month.

There's plenty to enjoy in the humorous ad, with several moments already destined to become long-standing Liverpool memes.

However, despite Robertson's continued brilliance in the straight man role leading the group it was Darwin (as you might expect) who stole the show with his performance — just after Oscar season!

The Uruguayan enters late with a "how are we?", while he proceeds to distract with his noisy pencil sharpener.

It's later revealed that the forward has been working an impressive pencil sketch of a horse, a direct reference to the viral social media posts which pointed out that Liverpool's chaotic No. 9 had been spending his downtime liking horse-drawing tutorials.

While the nod to Nunez's mysterious hobby is the highlight, the forward also gets a big monologue towards the end when he gives a passionate speech about the need to protect the environment — albeit entirely in Spanish.

Following his rousing words, Robertson replies: “Not a clue what you just said, but I love it!”

In ten-minutes packed with niche references and Easter eggs, Salah, Kelleher, Konate and Szoboszlai all get the chance to show off their (questionable) acting chops as well, while the camaraderie and feel-good spirit radiates off the screen as the stars try to keep straight faces and get through their lines.

They may not save the planet, but they might yet win a treble.

How can you not love this group of players?
