The Reds have had a remarkable start to life under new boss Arne Slot.

After just 10 games in charge across all competitions, the team has won nine matches, sitting unbeaten in the Champions League and top of the Premier League heading into the second international break of the season.

The new Liverpool boss has already found himself in new territory, starting the season better than any Liverpool boss has ever before, but he has now also equalled a niche Premier League record.

With the Reds' 1-0 win against Crystal Palace earlier today, he became just the fourth manager in Premier League history to win their first four away matches, adding today's win to Ipswich, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Throughout the 1992/92 season, former Coventry City boss Bobby Gould managed four consecutive away wins against Tottenham Hotspur, Wimbledon, Sheffield Wednesday and Oldham Athletic.

Meanwhile, former Aston Villa boss John Gregory managed to go one better with five consecutive away wins, against Chelsea, Everton, Coventry City, Southampton and Sheffield Wednesday in the 1997/98 season.

While Slot could now be classified as an away-game specialist, it's the team's all-round form that has impressed many so far this season, especially given the exceptional defensive displays the club has delivered so far.

Arne Slot etching himself into Premier League folklore

While Slot will have to go some way to surpass ex-Chelsea boss Felipe Scolari's efforts, where the Brazilian's side came away with three points in eight consecutive games away from home throughout the 2008/09 season, the records are continuing to tumble for the Dutchman.

The head coach himself has asked for calm surrounding his team's form given the limited quality of the opposition, but it cannot be denied how remarkable Liverpool are playing after Jurgen Klopp's departure.

Liverpool have been playing every three days for most of the season already and that is not about to change after the international break, with several standout fixtures coming right after each other - a period where the Reds will have to be at their very best if they are to come out of the period unscathed.

And amidst a mini injury crisis following today's close encounter with Crystal Palace, Liverpool may be somewhat depleted should those sidelined fail to recover in time for the Reds' domestic return at Anfield against Chelsea.

Nonetheless, Slot has made real waves across Europe with his side's start to the season and it will be fascinating to see how he gets on in the coming months.
