Arne Slot can ALREADY make Liverpool history today with feat UNSEEN for 131 years
Arne Slot could make history against Manchester United later today in just his third Premier League fixture as Liverpool head coach.
It's just the third time Arne Slot leads his Liverpool team out in the Premier League but he could already re-write the history books. The Reds' head coach is aiming for multiple records at Old Trafford.
If Slot wins, he'll be the first Liverpool boss to beat Manchester United on his attempt since Bob Paisley back in 1975. That's about as positive an omen as you could hope for, of course.

A win would actually be a little more historic than that, too. It would make Slot the first Liverpool boss since 1936 to win on his first trip to Old Trafford and only the second ever.
And there's even more history at stake. Keep a clean-sheet and it would mean Slot hasn't conceded a goal in his first three league matches. That's a feat unseen at Liverpool for 131 years.
It's also never been achieved by a Liverpool boss in the top flight.
Arne Slot aims for history
Slot doesn't strike us as the kind of man who cares all that much about stats like this. Still, all three would be incredible signs of just how well the Liverpool squad has taken to his methods.
Of course, progress under Slot may take a little longer and anyone who's watched the opening two games knows there's room for improvement in certain areas. That's to be expected, though, after over eight years with the same boss.
Slot has undisputedly made an impressive start to life at Liverpool, with the Reds looking both comfortable and fresh. But a win at Old Trafford would be something else - a message that this is a team already capable of major wins, right as they're still getting started.
A history-making message, even.
