'I must say': Caoimhin Kelleher shares GLOWING first impression of Arne Slot

Liverpool are underway with Arne Slot and one player - linked with an exit, no less - has given his first thoughts on the new head coach.

Caomhin Kelleher has shared his initial thoughts on life under Arne Slot. The Dutchman is firmly in charge now, leading the squad through his first training sessions.

Of course, Slot doesn't quite have the full squad at his disposal - many are away with international squads or on holiday after a tournament. It'll be a little while longer before he's working with everyone.

But that doesn't stop the players from there learning about their new boss. Kelleher, who has actually been very strongly linked with an exit this summer, gave his first impression of Slot. It's certainly positive.

“It’s been really good, really enjoyable,” he told LFCTV. “Obviously the first few days were just testing and stuff, then we got into the actual training sessions, which have been really good.

“[Slot] has been excellent so far. A lot of detail to what he wants us to do, there’s a lot of stuff to take onboard but he gets his messages across really well and easy to understand as well, which is helpful. His sessions are intense and he pushes us, which is always good.

“It has been really enjoyable so far, I must say.”

Kelleher loving life under Slot

Is it going to be enough to keep Kelleher around, then? The Irishman supposedly wants to leave in pursuit of first-team football but he's given a glowing impression of Slot here.

And we shouldn't undersell just how impressive that is. He's following in the footsteps of Jurgen Klopp, after all - not just one of the world's best managers but someone the players adored.

Slot has wasted no time in winning players over, though. Hopefully, that continues.
