WATCH: Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones delivers WORLD-CLASS assist for Diogo Jota
Liverpool striker Diogo Jota was in great form during the Carabao Cup third-round tie against West Ham United at Anfield on Wednesday night.
It's been a tough few days for the Portugal international, slipping out of Arne Slot's preferred starting XI for the weekend Premier League match against Bournemouth.

The forward was forced to kick his heels as Darwin Nunez got the nod and the Uruguayan wasted no time in making an impression, netting a stunning goal.
However, Jota was restored to the starting lineup for the visit of the Hammers, quickly showing Slot what he can do and laying down a marker for the many games the Reds have got in store over the coming weeks.
Jota nets Carabao Cup double
In the first half, Jota nodded home expertly from a Federico Chiesa scissor kick to make it 1-1 and then he slotted Liverpool into the lead after some beautiful work from Curtis Jones after half-time.
The homegrown Liverpool midfielder picked up the ball just outside his own area, calmly navigating his way out of trouble before sending an attack in motion down the left-hand side via Cody Gakpo.
Jones then received the ball in an attacking position before executing a perfectly-weighted through ball to Jota inside the area.
He made no mistake, finishing behind Lukasz Fabianski and putting Liverpool 2-1 up, but a large part of the credit must go to Jones for the creation of the goal.
Jones has only just returned to the starting lineup following injury and has a tough job on his hands to displace first-choice trio Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch.
However, he showed Slot exactly what he can do against West Ham, helping to reverse the East London side's 1-0 lead which was acquired via a Jarell Quansah own goal.
It was a welcome sight for Liverpool fans with games arriving thick and fast between now and the international break.
