Liverpool attacking arrivals ruled out for January window

Liverpool will not be moving to sign new attackers this January transfer window, unless they have a late change of heart on transfer policy.

The Reds have seen Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane called up to AFCON and that has meant the likes of Takumi Minamino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been called upon to try and replace them.

There was a suggestion, of course, that the January window might see Liverpool move to bolster their attacking ranks too, but it seems as though this is unlikely.

This comes from The Athletic:

Anfield Watch Verdict

This is a theme that we have seen a lot in January windows at Liverpool in the recent past and so it makes sense that the club is not going to change its stance.

They knew Salah and Mane would not be about this month and opted against moves in the summer, so it's no shock to see they're doing the same now.

Hopefully, the Reds can get through the coming games without the attacking duo just fine and then we can kick on once they're back.
