Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing an 82-goal winger

Liverpool could make a move for SC Braga winger Ricardo Horta, according to Diario Record, as cited by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account.

The report claims that the Reds, Arsenal and Lazio are interested in signing the 27-year-old. The story further adds that Horta recently turned down a €15 million move to Atlanta United.

The Portugal international's contract expires in June 2026.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Horta is certainly a talented player. The winger has scored 82 goals and registered 44 assists in 256 appearances for SC Braga's first-team.

Horta has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.31 across the 2021-22 club campaign.

The aforementioned figures highlight that the Portugal international would add depth and quality to Liverpool's first-team.

But, we would prefer to see the Reds sign a younger winger. Liverpool do possess an ageing forward line.

The likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are all aged between 29-30.

With that being the case, we would like to see the club have an eye to the future and sign a young forward.
