Liverpool are interested in signing Stade Rennais forward Jeremy Doku, according to journalist Alexandre Braeckman, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

Braeckman has stated that the Reds are at the front of the queue to sign the 19-year-old.

Doku's current contract expires in the summer of 2025. The Belgian international is valued at €26 million by Transfermarkt.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We would love to see Liverpool sign Doku. The winger is a superb talent.

Doku has only scored two goals and registered four assists in 41 appearances for Stade Rennais.

However, the 19-year-old did average a WhoScored player rating 7.07 across the 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign. The aforementioned figure highlights that there is more to Doku's game than just goals and assists.

Footage of the Belgian international also highlights that he is a player with serious potential. Liverpool do have an ageing forward line.

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all aged between 28-30. Therefore, it would make sense for the club to sign a young forward for the future.
