Liverpool could make a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland next year, according to Sky Sport's reporter Marc Behrenbeck, as cited by The Anfield Buzz's Twitter account.
The report states that both the Reds and Paris Saint-Germain are the front runners to sign the 21-year-old.
The report further adds that Haaland possesses a release clause of €75 million. The Norway international's contract expires in the summer of 2024.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We would love to see Liverpool sign Haaland. The striker is a world-class player.
Haaland has scored 76 goals and registered 20 assists in 75 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.93 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Bundesliga campaign.
Due to Haaland's age, he could lead Liverpool's forward line for a number of years. Therefore, we believe that that the Reds would be silly to not at least attempt to sign the Norway International.
But, only time will tell if the aforementioned report is true.
