Paperwork ERROR could see Liverpool loan deal CANCELLED

A Liverpool goalkeeper is likely to to have their current loan spell cancelled mere days after the troubling injury suffered by Alisson.

On-loan goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzyński is set to have his deal with second-tier Cypriot side Spartakos Kitiou cancelled, with reported paperwork mistakes being the reason behind the issue. The 21 year-old Polish goalkeeper is yet to receive international clearance to play for the Cypriots, and this almost certainly means his loan with them will be cut short.

Ojrzyński signed for the Reds back in 2019 from Legia Warsaw, and has since been loaned out every season since the start of the 2021/22 campaign.

Last season was spent in the Dutch second division with FC Den Bosch, where he managed one clean sheet in the eleven games he played.

How many goalkeepers do Liverpool have?

Liverpool’s youth teams have a history young Polish goalkeepers, as last season Fabian Mrozek was named in several Europa League matchday squads, and Kornel Misciur is picking up plenty of praise for his performances this season in the PL2 and Uefa Youth League.

Obviously, Ojrzyński is some way down the pecking order when it comes to a first-team appearance in goal, but in the wake of Alisson’s enforced absence there will be greater attention drawn to Liverpool’s goalkeeping department.

It looks like Caomhin Kelleher will get some of that playing time he desperately craves, and third-choice Vitezslav Jaros proved himself capable with his late contributions against Crystal Palace.

Looking further below that and you have both Harvey Davies, who has trained with the first-team squad before, and the fast-rising talent of Misciur.

This is, of course, before you even get to the fact that Giorgi Mamardashvili is technically a Liverpool player already, although there has so far been no suggestion he would have his loan at Valencia cut short.
