Elliott shines as Liverpool beat Arsenal
Harvey Elliott put in a man-of-the-man display as Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-1 on Wednesday night in Philadelphia.
The playmaker created both goals as Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho gave the Merseysiders a first-half lead before Kai Havertz pulled one back for Arsenal.
It was the second match of the Reds’ three-game pre-season tour of the United States, following success against Real Betis on Friday night.

Double Man United injury blow
Manchester United have already suffered a double injury blow ahead of their massive Premier League meeting with Liverpool. A pair of key players will not feature.
Liverpool take on Manchester United in the final friendly of their trip to the USA. It'll take place on Sunday in South Carolina and should give us a bit of a club of what to expect in their upcoming Premier League clash.
The Reds will travel to Old Trafford on the 1st of September - just their third fixture of the season. It's always a massive occasion and so it's an early boost to Liverpool that United have suffered an injury blow.

Jurgen Klopp has shared one detail about his plans after Liverpool. The former boss only appears to know that much, however.
Jurgen Klopp appeared at the Coaches' Congress in Wurzburg this week where he talked to the crowd about his future. It's been a hot topic in football, of course.
Klopp stepped down as Liverpool manager at the end of last season having announced his plans to do so at the start of the year. It was an emotional one - he's been a massive part of the club's history and very few have had anything like the impact he has.

Curtis Jones addresses his Klopp comments
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has explained what he meant after he hinted he would enjoy his football more under Arne Slot than he did with Jurgen Klopp.
Last week the 23-year-old was asked about the changes with Slot being only the second-ever manager he has worked under during his time at Liverpool.
His comments came across as a bit of a shock as he claimed he had never been happier during his time at the club even though Klopp brought him into the senior set-up back in 2019.

Liverpool's 1-0 win against Real Betis saw a number of positives but few were as eye-catching as Trey Nyoni. The 17-year-old was fantastic in midfield, leading many to believe he's the next big thing at Anfield.
That's certainly the sense from within. Harvey Elliott made that clear in his interview with the Athletic, where he talked up Nyoni as a real talent to watch.
