Juventus are reportedly eyeing a move for Liverpool winger

Juventus could make a move for Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah in the summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.

The report states that the Serie A club see the Egyptian international as an ideal replacement for the departing Paulo Dybala.

However, the report further adds that it will be difficult for Juventus to sign Salah.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Salah is a world-class footballer. The winger has scored 153 goals and registered 57 assists in 239 appearances for Liverpool's first-team.

Salah has been in good form this season. He has been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.54 across the 2021-22 club campaign.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has also stated that Salah is a top professional.

"Mo, from the guy who scores from time to time and is a really good football player to this goalscoring machine is a massive development," the German told the club's official website back in May 2021.

“He is an outstanding signing, but for sure the way he developed, the way he treats himself, the game preparation, the training preparation, training attitude and all these kind of things, that’s exceptional.

“That’s a real role model and he deserves all that, absolutely.”

Therefore, Liverpool would be silly to move Salah on. The forward is out of contract at the conclusion of next season.

It has been reported that Salah has been offered a new deal by the Reds. But, the 29-year-old believes that he is worth more (wages) than what the club are currently offering him.

Hopefully Liverpool and Salah can come to an agreement sooner rather than later. We don't want the winger to depart the club.

Salah still has plenty to offer, so he should be paid accordingly. But, only time will tell where his long-term future lies.
