Juventus are reportedly considering making a move for Liverpool midfielder valued at €30m

Juventus are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita, according to Calciomercato, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.

The report states that the Serie A club are contemplating a move for the Guinea international at the end of the season. The story further adds that Juventus see Keita as a possible solution to their midfield problems.

Keita's contract expires in the summer of 2023. The 27-year-old possesses a current market value of €30 million.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Liverpool signed Keita from RB Leipzig for a transfer fee of €60 million back in the summer of 2018.

There is no denying that the Anfield faithful are yet to see the best of the midfielder. Keita has only scored 10 goals and registered five assists in 94 appearances for the club's first-team.

Injuries have certainly impacted the Guinea international's form. Despite everything that has happened, we would like to see the club stick with Keita for one more season.

Sure, the Reds do risk losing him on a free transfer come the end of next season, but it's a risk we would like to see the club take.

As you can see in the footage below, Keita is more than capable of playing at the highest level.

Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk has even labelled Keita as "world-class".

The 30-year-old told the club's official website the following back in July 2020: “Naby is a fantastic guy, he works so hard and he is an outstanding football player. We see it week in and week out. He has unfortunately been unlucky with some injuries, but hopefully he can stay fully fit for the next season.

“I think he is world-class, if I’m absolutely honest. I see all the moments when he has the ball, the smart moves, the smart intelligence. It’s just incredible to see.”

Only time will tell where Keita's long-term future lies.
