Liverpool were linked with a move for West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen last summer.

Prior to the Reds' Premier League clash against the Hammers at the Olympic Stadium last night, Jurgen Klopp spoke about the 24-year-old.

The Liverpool boss was full of praise for Bowen.

As quoted by journalist James Pearce, Klopp said the following: "I like (Jarrod) Bowen a lot. He worked his way up from Hull. He's made big steps."

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Bowen was very impressive during West Ham United's 3-2 victory over Liverpool last night.

The winger registered two assists against the Reds. To be fair to Bowen, he was very impressive last season.

The 24-year-old averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.75 across the 2020-21 Premier League campaign.

We would love to see the club make a move for Bowen. The aforementioned figures highlight that the Englishman can play.

Also, as we have already pointed out, Bowen is only 24 years of age. Therefore, it would be fair to assume that he is not the finished article.

Only time will tell if Liverpool are to make a move for West Ham United's No.20.
