Jurgen Klopp responds to Mohamed Salah's agent amid contract standstill

Jurgen Klopp has responded to Mohamed Salah's agent after his infamous tweet last week about the Egyptian's contract at Liverpool.

Mo Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, caused a lot of drama during the Brighton and Hove Albion press conference after he appeared to laugh at Jurgen Klopp's comments about the Egyptian's contract situation.

After that, news seemed to be leaked to the press claiming that Liverpool and Salah's representatives haven't spoken about a contract extension since December.

However, the Liverpool manager has now responded to Ramy's tweet in his pre-Arsenal press conference, as cited by Anfield Watch.

"The last thing I want to do is create headlines. No it's all fine - I don't know about any reactions," said Klopp.

"I'm not on Twitter, another good reason for that. You got me in the trap and I created headlines."

Klopp also gave another small update on Salah's contract during the press conference.

"I am not concerned. It is how it should be. The decisive parties are in contact," said Jurgen.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Salah's agent really angered a lot of Liverpool fans last week as it started to look like it is him who is trying to be difficult surrounding the money on the Egyptian's contract.

With the cap on agent fees at 3% of a player's salary and 10% of the transfer fee set to be implemented by FIFA this year, a lot of people think that Ramy might want one final big payday.

Thankfully, Klopp did not entertain his slightly disrespectful tweet and he just ignored it like a true professional.

Hopefully, Jurgen might've had a word with Salah about his agent's actions in recent weeks, if that is the case then we might not be seeing as many tweets from Ramy about these ongoing contract discussions.
