Journalist reveals what Virgil van Dijk did after clash against Shrewsbury Town

Liverpool welcomed Shrewsbury Town to Anfield yesterday.

Once the match had been completed, Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk made his way into the Shrewsbury Town dressing room to chat with all the players, according to journalist Caoimhe O'Neill.

Shrewsbury Town play in League One, so lot of those players would look up to the Dutchman.

Therefore, it would be fair to assume that the Shrewsbury players would have appreciated Van Dijk making the effort to speak to them after the match.

The Dutchman did not need to make his way into the away dressing room. But, Van Dijk is a humble person.

On another note, the defender was solid in Liverpool's victory over Shrewsbury.
