Liverpool defeated AC Milan 2-1 at the San Siro last night.

Midfielder Tyler Morton started for Liverpool in the aforementioned Champions League group stage fixture and played well. The 19-year-old registered a WhoScored player rating of 6.73 for his 90-minute performance against the Serie A side.

Morton also completed 84.8 percent of his passes against AC Milan. With that being the case, pundit Neil Lennon praised the youngster while commentating on the match.

“I’ve been impressed by Tyler Morton, everything’s going through him,” Lennon told the BBC during their coverage of Liverpool versus AC Milan (7/12, 20:28).

“He’s trying to dictate the play as much as he can for Liverpool.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

As we have already pointed out, Morton played reasonably well against AC Milan.

The midfielder has now made five appearances for Liverpool's first-team.

The exciting thing about Morton is that he is only 19 years of age. It would be fair to assume that the youngster will only improve over time.

With that being the case, we look forward to watching Morton represent the Reds in the coming years.
