"It's really nice" - Jurgen Klopp on performance against RB Leipzig

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict on his team's performance against RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena.

Yesterday, the Reds defeated the German side 5-0 in a pre-season friendly. Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez (x4) were Liverpool's goalscorers on the night.

Therefore, we weren't surprised to hear Klopp state that he was delighted with his team's performance against RB Leipzig.

"It's really nice. First-half, good moments, lesser good moments. Not enough movement, we need to get used to how hard it is to play 50, 60, 70 minutes - sometimes 90 or 120 - we need to get used to it again," he told Liverpoolfc.com, as quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

"I wanted us to be a bit more hard with ourselves. I go over and point to move more. I think we did that second-half. (Jordan) Hendo came on and (James) Millie and then we create the chances."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Klopp is a winner. There is a reason why he has claimed the Champions League, Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League title, League Cup and FA Cup with Liverpool.

Therefore, Klopp will always want his players to be harsh on themselves, and that can only be a good thing.

The German doesn't want his footballers to settle. The reality is, this current Liverpool team could win a few more major trophies.

But, nothing in life is given to you. These players will have to earn the right to lift another piece of silverware.

We wish Klopp's team all the very best ahead of the new season. Liverpool will face Fulham at Craven Cottage on the 6th of August to kickstart their 2022-23 Premier League campaign.
