Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas has revealed that he is very proud of the club's recent achievements.

The Greece international joined the Reds from Olympiacos for a transfer fee of £11.70 million back in the summer of 2020.

Tsimikas is very much a squad player at Anfield. With that being the case, the 25-year-old has only made 30 appearances for the first-team since he joined the club.

However, Tsimikas has made it clear that he is enjoying every minute of this season.

As quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter, he told the club's official website the following: "I'm very proud for this team, all the work we did. As I say, we set all our goals to win all the trophies and we are so close. We won the Carabao Cup, we're in the final in the FA Cup, we're in the final (of the) Champions League.

"We are second in the league. I'm really looking forward (to it).

"All the boys want to play, they work very hard. No matter who is playing, everybody supports each other (and) everybody is there for the other (person). We want to win. That's our mentality."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Tsimikas is clearly invested in the club, which we absolutely love. When the left-back has been given an opportunity this season (23 appearances), he has taken it.

Tsimikas has averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.05 across the aforementioned games. The Greece international is a handy player to have around the squad.

Hopefully Tsimikas remains at Liverpool for many years to come. He is contracted until the summer of 2025.

On another note, the Reds will face Aston Villa at Villa Park tonight. The Premier League clash will kick-off at 8:00pm BST.

Liverpool will go into the match three points behind league leaders Manchester City.
