Former Red Jose Enrique has revealed what he wants to see Liverpool do when the January transfer window opens.
The 35-year-old believes that the Reds should make a move for Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak.
Enrique said that the 22-year-old would be the "perfect" signing for Liverpool.
It is important to note that the Reds have not been linked with a move for Isak.
As quoted by Anfield Edition's Twitter account, Enrique told the Metro the following: "I would go for one player who can play across the front three.
"[Alexander] Isak is definitely perfect for Liverpool’s profile of signings, a young player, not spending hundreds of millions, you’re going to spend £50-60 million."
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We like Isak as a player. The centre-forward has scored 39 goals and registered seven assists in 109 appearances for Real Sociedad.
The Sweden international also averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.99 in the 2020 Euros.
The aforementioned figures highlight that Isak is a promising player. The 22-year-old would certainly add depth and quality to Liverpool's forward line.
Therefore, we would not be against the Reds making a move for Isak in the future. But, only time will tell if that is to be the case.
The youngster's contract expires in June 2026.
