"I think it was one of the biggest wins" - Kostas Tsimikas on Bournemouth clash

Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas has given his thoughts on the club's 9-0 victory over Bournemouth at Anfield last weekend.

The Greece international did not start against the Cherries. But, Tsimikas did replace Robertson after 69 minutes of action.

Tsimikas certainly had an impact against Bournemouth. He registered two assists in 21 minutes of football.

Tsimikas had the following to say about the Premier League fixture.

Speaking with the club’s website, he said: “For me, I think it was one of the biggest wins I had in my football career so far, I’m very happy I was there and played with the team.

“I try to keep myself ready, to be focused. I don’t want to lose even one minute from the time I will be in.

“I’m happy for my two assists. This showed me the sky’s the limit. Always I have to be ready, to be 100 per cent focused if I want to achieve my personal goal.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Tsimikas showed why he is a very handy squad player. We don't see a world where he ever replaces Robertson.

The reality is, the Scotland international is considered to be one of the best left-backs in the game.

But, due to the amount of football Liverpool play per season, Tsimikas will always get minutes out on the pitch.

Robertson could suffer a serious injury and Tsimikas would be required on a permanent basis.

That is why it's important the Greece international keeps on training hard and then performing when he is given the opportunity to do so.
