"I think" - Diogo Jota on winning the Premier League title over Manchester City

Diogo Jota has said that Jurgen Klopp has been key to Liverpool's unbelievable form this season.

Speaking about winning the Premier League title this season, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Jota said that they will give their all to beat Manchester City to the league.

“I remember Jürgen said that we were going on a mission to win every single game. At the time, I think it was [the] Brentford game, so we just grabbed three [points] after three after three. That’s what makes us close to the first place at this moment.

“Now, we need to wait for them to drop points again. We need to do our job, so that’s what we need to be focused on, because it is not easy to win seven Premier League games in a row.

“That’s what it means to have a world-class manager, like him. You can count on him to put you back on track and to say the right things at the right times. We know that we have not just the manager, but a squad that can do whatever he wants us to do.

“We will just push this last month-and-a-half to go for everything. I think we are able to do that.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Since that Brentford game, Liverpool have played 21 games, winning 18, drawing two and losing one. We have also lifted the Carabao Cup, advanced to the final of the FA Cup and progressed through to the semi-final of the Champions League during that run.

That run has definitely been helped by us not having many injuries but we also have Klopp and his staff to thank for that.

Our rotation has been key to our success and Klopp has chosen the perfect side for every game this season, resting players when they need rest and playing players when they need the game time.

With 10 games to go this season, hopefully 11 if we beat Villarreal, we need everyone fit as every game is going to be a final. The quadruple may not be in our hands but the treble definitely is.
