"I loved the Carabao Cup final this year" - Jurgen Klopp reflects ahead of FA Cup final

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reflected on this season's League Cup final victory.

The Reds met the Blues in the final at Wembley Stadium back in February. Liverpool ended up defeating Chelsea on penalties.

Both sides will also meet in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium this Saturday.

Ahead of the match, Klopp said that he would love to defeat Chelsea in another big game.

As quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter, the German told the club's official website the following: "I loved the Carabao Cup final this year, it was an incredible game, it was against Chelsea and 120 minutes – madness! So, yeah, massive game coming up and you are right: final after final after final, but we make differences still.

"That’s a real final, there is no game coming after. So yeah, we are all really looking forward to it. It will be big.

"That’s what I love most about it: that we really can say we are here, we arrived in the final and we used the full squad pretty much, and the extended squad. Massive experience for the boys. Always when you have this kind of journey it brings you closer together.

"These boys are now really ready to go for the biggest prizes and the FA Cup is a massive prize. So, we will try to be the best version of ourselves and bring it home."

Anfield Watch Verdict

We completely agree with Klopp. The League Cup final was special. It is not everyday you get to see your side win a trophy.

With that being the case, hopefully Liverpool can win another cup final on Saturday.

But, as we have already learnt this season, Chelsea are a decent side. Liverpool will have to play well to secure the FA Cup on Saturday.

Also, the Reds have not won the aforementioned trophy since 2006. Hopefully Klopp's team can end the drought this weekend.

Only time will tell if that is to be the case.
