"I can achieve big things here" - Luis Diaz on signing for Liverpool

Luis Diaz has spoken about his first three months with Liverpool and what his goals are with the Reds.

Speaking to LiverpoolFC, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Diaz said that he wants to achieve 'big things' with this Liverpool team.

"I’m very happy and I’m delighted to be here at the club, and to have settled in the way that I have. Sharing a dressing room with this group of great athletes, as well as the manager, it’s an absolute pleasure for me," said Diaz.

"The most important thing for me is to help the team and to keep going in the same style that I’ve started, and to keep working hard in training just the same as ever, so I can achieve big things here, which I want the most.

“Of course, it’s just obvious what a great institution this club is and how much quality it has, too. So I always tried to come and sign for the club."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Diaz is really starting to kick on with Liverpool now. The first few months after he joined he wasn't finding the net but in his last four games with the Reds, he has two goals and an assist.

You also have to take into account that the Colombian hasn't had a pre-season with Klopp and his coaching staff. We know how good players can become when the German has a few months to fully implement his tactics and style on a new signing.

Whatever happens next season, we should be very excited to see Diaz as he can only get better with more time on the training pitch.

That's hard to believe considering that he has already broken into the first-team despite not even being a Liverpool player for four months yet.

Exciting times to come if you are a Liverpool fan!
