Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has praised teammate Fabio Carvalho.
The Reds signed the attacker from Fulham for a transfer fee of £5.31 million earlier this summer.
Carvalho has scored two goals in seven appearances for Liverpool so far this season. Firmino has been impressed with the 20-year-old's performances in recent times.
“He’s a great player," he told Eleven Sports, as quoted by Noticias ao Minuto.
“I confess that I had already watched some of his games before coming to Liverpool, so I was already impressed by the way he played.
“He’s a craque (meaning ace/star in Portuguese), he’s a great player and now he’s also a very close friend.
“We are happy to have him here at Liverpool and I know he will help us a lot, with assists, goals and also his character on the pitch.”

Anfield Watch Verdict
Carvalho is a very talented player. There is a reason why he is in and around Jurgen Klopp's first-team.
As we have pointed out, Carvalho is only 20 years of age. With that being the case, who knows how good the youngster could be.
Klopp is known for improving young footballers. So, as long as Carvalho puts in the hard work, he could develop into a world-class player.
The attacker is contracted until the conclusion of the 2026-27 campaign. Therefore, Carvalho has plenty of time to prove his worth at Anfield.
We look forward to watching the youngster in action in the years to come.
