Firmino has been a superb player for the Reds over the years. The forward has scored 96 goals and registered 73 assists in 318 appearances for the club's first-team.
Bamford on the other hand has been a solid contributor for Leeds United. The striker has found the back of the net 45 times and secured 17 assists in 120 appearances for the Whites' first XI.
The aforementioned statistics highlight that Firmino has been a better forward for longer in comparison to Bamford. But, Woodhouse is confident that the Englishman has now surpassed the Brazilian.
Woodhouse tweeted: "All day long (Bamford is better than Firmino). Last season you can’t argue. One scores one doesn’t."
Anfield Watch Verdict
Bamford (28) is only two years younger than Firmino (30), so you can't even say the Englishman has more potential than the Brazilian.
“Mohamed (Salah) gets a lot of attention (for his performances) and rightly so,” Klopp said, as quoted by The Liverpool Offside.
“But Bobby, for people with football knowledge, I’m pretty sure when he finishes playing people will write books about the way he interpreted the false-nine position.
“I don’t say he invented it or we invented it, but with the way he plays from time to time it looks like it. There are different things to do on the pitch, so yeah, Bobby knows how much we appreciate what he is doing.”
With that being the case, we will always defend Firmino. The 30-year-old is contracted at Anfield until June 2023.
Therefore, the Liverpool supporters will be able to sit back and watch Firmino for a little bit longer.
