Anfield Watch Verdict
Mane will be dearly missed at Anfield. He has been a key figure in Liverpool's team since joining the club back in 2016 (269 appearances).
After scoring against Aston Villa at Villa Park back in May, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp labelled Mane as a "machine".
“He’s a machine, I told him after the game. A massive player, massive player,” he told Sky Sports, as quoted by This Is Anfield.
“The physicality he has is brutal. The mix of technique, desire and then physicality.
“Now (even) in the moment when everybody obviously has a few yards in the legs, like you can see it with him to be honest, (he can do this).
“Top goal. Just a fantastic, world-class player.”
The aforementioned comments highlight that Mane offers a lot out on the football pitch. However, modern day players don't represent one club forever.
Therefore, we are used to seeing big players leave Liverpool. It has happened far too often, but, the Reds are in a really good position to deal with the loss of Mane.
Klopp has the likes of Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez at his disposal.
