Kylian Mbappe's future could dominate the summer transfer market in 2022 with the French forward still yet to commit the coming years to current side PSG.
Indeed, he's a player who has the world at his feet and whoever gets him next could have him for his very best years.
Liverpool have been linked with him a lot, but what chances are there of the Reds getting him in ahead of the 2022/23 campaign? Anfield Watch caught up with journalist Fabrizio Romano to find out...
"I think it's gonna be complicated, to be honest," Romano said in an exclusive interview with Anfield Watch.
"Never say never because after last summer with Messi and Ronaldo anything can happen. But at the moment, I think what Klopp has always said is that Liverpool financially are not able to do it.
"They know that there are clubs that have been working on it for a while like Real Madrid. So my expectation is for him to sign a new contract with PSG or join Real Madrid.
"He is tempted by Madrid, but PSG are pressing him to extend the contract. So at the moment, the situation is that it's going to be complicated for Liverpool.
"I'd like to see English clubs jumping into the negotiations because it would be the biggest transfer race in the history of football but at the moment it is quiet for Liverpool."
