The countdown to the summer transfer window is well and truly on and we have all the latest Liverpool transfer news today (Friday May 31).
The Reds are already being linked with multiple targets as they look to retool their squad after the departure of Jurgen Klopp and the arrival of Arne Slot.
New contract for Bradley
Liverpool have made a decision on Conor Bradley’s future - before Arne Slot has even arrived at the club and looked at the player.
Teamtalk reports that Liverpool are ready to offer Conor Bradley a new contract. The 20-year-old did receive a pay bump back in December but is still one of the lowest earners in the Reds' first-team squad.
And so Liverpool want to tie him down long-term, with what will almost certainly be a significant pay rise.
Summerville chance appears
Liverpool might have struck gold as one of their reported target has a new price tag that’s incredibly tempting.
The Telegraph reports that Leeds United could sell Crysencio Summerville for £30m this summer after failing to earn promotion to the Premier League. Leeds ultimately lost the playoff final to Southampton 1-0.
And with that, they're set for another year in the Championship. It's something that makes it much more difficult to hold onto Summerville, who has been the league's standout player this season.
'Sell Salah' warns Liverpool legend
Mohamed Salah has been urged to QUIT Liverpool in the event that the Reds can attract a significant transfer fee this summer.
The latest indicuations out of Saudi Arabia are that interested clubs are prepared to wait until 2025 and take Salah at the end of his Liverpool contract but if there’s an opportunity for a deal to be struck then the club must take it.
That’s according to Mark Lawrenson, a club legend who won five league titles during his time as a player as well as the European Cup.
Reds to battle Newcastle for £20m England man
Liverpool are set to do battle with Newcastle over the England Euro 2024 candidate James Trafford this summer.
That’s according to a new report in Football Insider, which suggests that the goalkeeper’s club Burnley will seek £20 million for him.
The Clarets have just suffered a Premier League relegation blow - and also lost manager Vincent Kompany to Bayern Munich - and their rebuilding efforts could be made even more difficult should they lose the 21-year-old shot stopper.
Although Trafford lost his place in Burnley’s team to Kosovo international Arijanet Muric during the season, he still remains a goalkeeper of considerable promise.
Vini wanted Liverpool man at Real Madrid
One journalist out of Brazil suggests Vinicius Jr was eager to sign a player leaving Liverpool last summer.
UOL journalist Julio Gomes Filho claims Vinicius Jr pushed for Real Madrid to sign Roberto Firmino last summer. The forward was leaving Liverpool on a free transfer and able to move where he wanted.
And Real were actually all for it - only for one hang-up to end the plans.
Bids expected for Alisson
Richard Hughes and Liverpool plan to reject some big-money offers coming their way for a first-team star this summer.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Alisson Becker was the subject of approaches from Saudi Pro League sides in March. Nothing is yet advanced but the contact is there.
Liverpool, however, aren't intending to accept offers and plan on starting the season with Alisson. The 'priority' for both parties is for the Brazilian to remain at Anfield.
PSG want Konate
L'Equipe reports that Liverpool are in ongoing talks with Ibrahima Konate over a new contract. The Frenchman has two years left to run on his deal - and teams are circling.
After all, this is the final year that Liverpool could demand a big fee for the defender. Next season, with only one year left, would dramatically weaken their bargaining position if Konate doesn't sign a new contract.
It might even be enough that if he doesn't sign a new deal, Liverpool feel a need to sell this summer.
That's certainly the hope at other clubs, says L'Equipe's report, with Paris Saint-Germain hoping to snap Konate up.
