"Been electric" - Former Red praises Luis Diaz's impact

Former Liverpool midfielder Michael Thomas has recently given Reds winger Luis Diaz plenty of credit.

The club signed the Colombia international from Porto for a transfer fee of £40.50 million back in January.

Since then, Diaz has scored six goals and registered five assists in 24 appearances for Liverpool's first-team.

When discussing the club's quadruple hopes, Thomas praised the 25-year-old for his performances in recent months.

“They will be hoping on a favour from Aston Villa and they need to put in a performance of their own to stand any chance of completing the domestic set. Hopefully the players remain fit and can bring home both trophies with a little luck,” he told Caught Offside.

“Luis Diaz has come in and been electric. He’s settled straight in with his team mates and you can already see the cohesion on the football pitch.

“I think with good players, a settled atmosphere around the club, and a manager that believes in you it will always make it easier to adjust and he has done just that.

“He’s done it in big games, and with Mohamed Salah not quite firing at the moment, I think he will be the key man for Liverpool who could get them over the line.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

We can't believe just how quickly Diaz has settled into life at Anfield. It can take foreign players quite a bit of time to find their feet when they move to a new league.

But, that has not been an issue for Diaz. The exciting thing about the Colombia international is that he is only 25 years of age.

Diaz is entering his prime years. There is no reason why he could not become the next Luis Suarez or Salah.

Diaz certainly has the ability to become a great player for the club. Best Poker Bonus Code.
