Andy Robertson praises Jordan Henderson's performance against Man United

Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson said that Jordan Henderson set the tone against Manchester United at Anfield last night.

The Reds won the aforementioned Premier League fixture 4-0. Liverpool played a very intense brand of football against the Red Devils.

Jurgen Klopp's team were quick to win the ball back as soon as they lost it. Robertson believes that the Reds fed off Henderson's energy in the opening 10 minutes of the match.

As quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, the Scotland international told the club's official website the following: "Hendo set the tone (in the) first five, 10 minutes with his pressing and with his high energy, everyone just followed suit.

"That's what a captain does, and Hendo's done it many a time for us, he did it again tonight. We all fed off his energy."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Henderson did perform very well against Manchester United. The midfielder registered a WhoScored player rating of 7.16 for his 90-minute performance against the Red Devils.

Henderson has always pressed during his time at Liverpool. The man does not know when to stop running.

However, we do believe that Henderson does possess some quality with the ball at his feet.

The Englishman has scored 33 goals and registered 57 assists in 439 appearances for the Reds' first-team.

Henderson will go down as a legend of the club. He has captained Liverpool to the Champions League, Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League title and League Cup.

Liverpool are still in contention for the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup this season.

Therefore, there is no reason why Henderson can't add to his already brilliant legacy in the coming months.

But, only time will tell if that is to be the case.
