Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has offered his thoughts on Manchester City and their title challenge this season, as the Reds try to close the gap to them in the Premier League.
Liverpool can get the gap down to eight points if they win their game in hand in the Premier League table, but City are not a side that strikes you as one for throwing away such a lead.
Indeed, they're looking strong once more for another title win and Robertson has labelled them as one of the best ever in the history of the competition.
Speaking to the LFC site, he said:
Andy Robertson on Manchester City:
“Man City are one of the best teams in Premier League history and they’ve shown that over the last six or seven weeks, they’ve been winning 1-0s, 2-1s and just been doing enough to win games. That’s what wins you championships.” #awlive [lfc] pic.twitter.com/mEQv9icQZu

Anfield Watch Verdict
It's just a shame that this fine Liverpool side has had to come up against what is obviously another great team in Manchester City.
Ultimately, the two look as though they could leave Chelsea behind in the coming weeks but whether the Reds can catch City is another kettle of fish altogether.
It would be a famous title win if it could be done, with a win at the Etihad also required, but it probably seems a pipe dream at the moment.
