Agent of Premier League winger confirms Liverpool's interest

Liverpool like Leeds United winger Raphinha as a player, according to his agent - Deco.

Deco further added that the Reds have made an unofficial approach for the Brazilian in the past.

It was reported throughout the 2021 summer transfer window that Liverpool were interested in signing Raphinha.

As quoted by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account, Deco told Globo the following: “There was approaches [from Liverpool] but nothing official. Liverpool DO like Raphinha.”

Raphinha is a solid footballer. The winger has scored nine goals and registered nine assists in 38 appearances for Leeds United's first-team.

Raphinha is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.17 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.

The Brazilian is only 24 years of age, so it would be fair to assume that he has plenty of room left for improvement.

We would love to see Liverpool make an official offer for Raphinha at some point. The attacker would add depth and quality to Jurgen Klopp's squad.

A free transfer is not possible in the near future. Raphinha's current contract expires in June 2024. He possesses a current market value of €32 million.
