Arsenal KNOW Liverpool are favourites for £40m transfer target
Arsenal have been Liverpool’s closest competition in the Premier League this season.
The title race looks all but finished at this point, but the two sides will still have plenty to compete over once the season is done.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are in the hunt for a new striker this summer, with the majority of targets being linked with both clubs.
There is also a chance that the Reds are drawn back into a battle for Martin Zubimendi, a player who came close to moving to Anfield last summer but now looks destined for North London.
Arne Slot’s side already have the advantage with one top target however according to a recent report.
Liverpool are ‘favourites’ to sign Arsenal target
According to a recent report by GIVEMESPORT, the Gunners are in the market for yet another left-back in the upcoming transfer window.
Mikel Arteta has already signed five players capable of starting as a left-back since his arrival at the Emirates, but he wants another.
EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool ENTER Hugo Ekitike talks
According to the report Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez has been discussed by Arsenal’s recruitment team, but Liverpool are ‘favourites to win that race’ in a deal that could be worth around £40 million.
The Reds are long-term admirers of the Hungarian full-back, and talks are reportedly underway to bring him to Merseyside this summer.
Liverpool’s left-back situation
Andrew Robertson has been the undisputed first choice in his position for the majority of his time at Anfield.
This season, however, things haven’t been so simple for the Scot and Kostas Tsimikas has proven genuine competition for the 31-year-old posing a difficult question for Slot and Richard Hughes this summer.
The Reds are clearly looking for a new face in that position, with many more names than just Kerkez linked with a Merseyside move, but it is unclear which of Liverpool’s current options will be moved on.
It is unrealistic to assume that Robertson, Tsimikas and a third player would be willing to share minutes out over the course of a season, so something must give for Slot to bring in a new man.
Tsimikas feels the more likely of the two to depart, although it isn’t a given that Robertson will be willing to operate as a back-up to whoever Liverpool bring in.

Liverpool have the advantage over Arsenal in both the race for the Premier League title and the race for Milos Kerkez, who could be a Red before the summer’s end.
