Liverpool to exchange wonderkid with €70m star in SWAP deal
After two transfer windows of limited activity, Liverpool fans are excited to see what the recruitment department has lined up for this summer, with a variety of deals opening up.
Richard Hughes might have a great reputation at Bournemouth where he used to work as a sporting director, but the Englishman has yet to really earn his stripes on Merseyside.

The news regarding Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk's contract extensions has perked up the mood around the club significantly following a drop off in form on the pitch, and a lot of credit should go Hughes' way having resolved a problem that he inherited from the previous executive hierarchy.
But as the summer approaches, everyone is eagerly awaiting the plans to rebuild and address certain areas of the team that have underperformed this season, and the possibilities are endless.
Earlier this week it was reported that former manager Jurgen Klopp could play a hand in some of the Reds' business at RB Leipzig and an incredibly ambitious deal might be in the offing.
Xavi Simons in, Harvey Elliott out in potential swap deal?
Just a few days ago, a report from FussballTransfers.com referenced intel from SportBild, detailing the financial targets that Red Bull were going to impose on Leipzig ahead of next season.
Those included having a wage bill of €150m, which means that €20m in player salaries will need to be cut, as well as generating €100m of transfer fees, opening up the possibility that one of the club's young talents could be sent out the door in order to comply with the new regulations.
One specific player that was mentioned is Xavi Simons, a 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who Liverpool have been paying close attention to ahead of the summer.
The Dutchman has registered 10 goals and six assists in 28 starts for the club this seasons, which is an incredibly impressive return for a young player who is still developing at a senior level.
Leipzig are right in the hunt for securing Champions League football again, although the competition from the top eight in the Bundesliga means that they will need to stay focused as the season comes to an end.
But during the offseason, if Liverpool can carefully negotiate a deal, then Simons might become an available transfer option in light of the recent development with their financial concerns.
However, Fabrizio Romano expects Leipzig to charge around €70m for the young talent, which might be a little steep for Liverpool, given the other positions in the squad that need attention.
It is clear that having a more specialist player in the No.10 role than Dominik Szoboszlai would be great, but not necessarily at such an expense.
Although, there is a way that Liverpool could manufacture a move, while shifting some of the dead wood in Arne Slot's squad.
Harvey Elliott, for all his efforts, hasn't really been able to break out in Liverpool's first team this season, primarily spending his time on the bench.
The impact he has made when given an opportunity has been impressive, but there isn't a way for him to eventually become a first-team regular starter, then we might as well cash in.

According to FootballTransfers.com, Elliott is worth €48m, so a swap and cash deal might well be on the cards. After all, Klopp always was a big fan of the 22-year-old Englishman.
